Flesch Reading Ease scores range from 0–100. Higher scores mean easier reading. A score of 60–70 is considered standard for general audiences. Below 30 is very difficult (academic/technical).
For general web content, aim for a Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level of 6–8. This means most adults can read it comfortably without difficulty.
Use shorter sentences and simpler words. Break long paragraphs into smaller ones. Avoid jargon and passive voice.
